Patrick Jones

Patrick Jones is a blacksmith based in Asheville, NC where he lives with his wife and two dogs. Patrick uses modern and traditional techniques to create items which are both beautiful and functional. His current focus is on home goods including bottle openers, coat hooks and racks, and kitchenware. He enjoys collaborating with his wife, a potter, and his father, a woodworker, to extend the range of his work past what metal can reach on its own.

Patrick takes the Gladhand moniker (and image) from his grandfather, Bob Jones. Bob was an artist and typesetter who called his print shop the Gladhand Press. He printed posters, flyers, and pamphlets for many local businesses and charities over the years. Patrick is proud to carry on the name and the tradition of thoughtful, hand crafted works.
